Dear Ana, Thank you for leaving a review, feedback is very important for us – we also ask all students to complete a questionnaire before they leave the camp, so that we can continuously review and improve our services. I am sorry to see your review is negative though so we wish to bring some more light on the specific issues you mentioned as you have not contacted our customer care team on these topics before. Firstly, we have been successfully operating summer camps throughout Europe since 1996, and we can assure you that the happiness, security and welfare of all of our students is our number one priority. 1. We have a very good communication system in place, allowing the staff on site to investigate and resolve any issues that might arise between children, before contacting our customer care team with full details, which then contact the parents. Our camp team has an emergency phone number and can contact parents (and be contacted by parents if need be) in case of serious issues. 2. We have a generous food buffet on offer and there are vegetables every day. We have enough variety of proteins with a switch of meat, chicken, or fish and at least 2 or 3 different variety of vegetables at each meal. However, we know that children and teens of this age often like to buy some junk food at the local store. 3. For the premium exclusive activities, we wish to give your more details. For the horse riding activity, we need to check on the first day what is the level of each student to see if they can ride properly and brushing a horse is also a part of the that activity. Therefore, during the first session there is less riding but the two the sessions are all about riding. For the cooking, we still have a good taste of the three days of cooking that your child made : Tuesday, a green peas with bacon soup, Thursday, pancakes and on Friday, delicious "croissant au chocolat". 4. In regards of the students language during your child’s stay, we had a large variety including English, French, Italian, Spanish, some German speakers and other European languages. In regards of communication, it is maybe a little bit hard for some of them, but we always try our best and communicate. Our purpose is to be able to make them learn another language, not speaking in their native language at all time and our staff makes sure to communicate in the two languages of the camp: French and English. 5. We have a student portal on which all parents/students need to go before departure and complete parental consent form, transfer information, placement test online and all the pre arrival information documents are available online. We always make sure that all the necessary information are in our possession before the student starts at the camp. We give a sample of the activity schedule but sometimes we have to change some activities because of the weather, number of students and other circumstances. The fact the programme can change is clearly stipulated on the document provided. We always try to respond within 24 hours but staff on site are also understandably very busy with students at the camp. Best regards, Alpadia Team

Hello Bader, We’re sorry to hear about your child’s negative experience with us, but It appears that this is a duplicate review of a case from July 2023. We take the safety of our students very seriously and have investigated your claim of mistreatment. All of our staff must adhere to strict guidelines regarding student contact, and we have found no other claims of our staff members breaking them, from either parents or students. Alpadia have successfully operated summer camps throughout Europe since 1969, and have developed a proven track-record of student satisfaction. In certain situations, a student may be home-sick or nervous in their first few days, but in these cases, we urge them to speak to our staff so we can improve their stay in any way possible. If we ever see that a student is unhappy we will always give them special attention and care, it can happen sometimes that a child is nervous or homesick in the first few days, but with the help of our dedicated staff they will generally always settle in and start to enjoy their stay with us.
